languages popularity
Sun 13 July 2014
I found a study from IEEE on popularity of programming languages. I note:
- The languages I use are in the top 10 ( R , C)
- C is always use in many
- scripts languages are widly used (you can find a shell or a python inerpreter on almost every machine, form the tinyest RAm architecture to the multiprocessor x86 including some routers)
- the script languages I know are in the top 20 (python, shell) (I should write sh and not shell)
- I’ll continue to use C as I feel confortable with it and it is always used
